Ozzie and Kitteh

by JenniferA - Bread and Putter on April 30, 2012

My sister has another one of her photo hunt challenges going on and this one is nice and easy – Favorites.  Which isn’t to say this slacker got right on top of it and dutifully took all these photos with the assignment in mind. But, since I tend to take pictures of my favorite things anyway, it all worked out.

Okay, one of my new favorite things is Instagram, which was recently released for Android users.  I already love the camera on my smart phone, and Instagram just makes it a little more lovable. I love the filters which help give my phone pictures a little extra something.  So, all of these photos were taken with my phone and processed with Instagram.

The first picture is obviously two of my favorite things/favorite photo subjects – Ozzie and Kitteh, reluctant buddies.  She drives him crazy and tries to push him around, but they seem to have come to a mostly amiable peace.

chocolate chip cookies

And this is a food blog, and of course I like to bake, so these chocolate chip cookies had to make the cut. If you give me dessert choices of cakes, pies, ice creams, brownies or cookies, I am going to pick cookies every time. These particular cookies were made with Alton Brown’s muffin method recipe, which is one of my favorites because I don’t even have to fire up the stand mixer. And, I made them with KerryGold butter, one of my favorite dairy products!

yoga

This is my favorite way to sweat off those cookies – Saturday morning hot yoga!

vodka tonic

After all that sweating, it is important to hydrate! Okay, vodka is not the best way to hydrate, but this cocktail in a nice crystal glass on a sunny Friday evening, that’s definitely one of my favorite things.

dogwood blossoms

Spring! That’s another favorite thing, and so is this dogwood tree in my backyard near my garden. It’s kind of a sad litle tree that is all hunched over, but every year it blossoms for us anyway. Seriously, how pretty is that?

red sox tee

And finally, for bonus points, one of my favorites and Karen’s favorite things. And now it is time to wrap this thing up because one of my other favorite things starts in 19 minutes – Mad Men. Somebody get me one of those cocktails!

Fun favorites! I’m glad you decided to pull together a post. Ozzie and Kitteh look like they are in a deep discussion of something most important. Your beverage looks extremely refreshing – although I must say I was surprised to find out that was vodka and not gin in your glass.
Nice Sox shirt!

Happened to have vodka in the house and no gin!

It’s a different shirt. The fabric is brown and the design on the front is shiny silver.

Oy, you and your sister and the Red Sox. 😉

I agree with Karen, I think your pets are discussing something. You might want to keep a close eye on those cookies. Or, maybe, they are waiting for the right time to strike like after you’ve had a few of those drinks in the sparkly glass.

You might be right, Scott. The other day I got out of bed and found the cat had knocked the dog’s box of cookies off of the top of the fridge and he was having a nice little snack. Tag team?
